May 30, 2019 Thursday Albion to Fredonia, NY

Crossed over into Canada for the view of Horseshoe Falls.  The volume of water cascading over the falls is astounding.

The blooming tulips are beautiful.  Arizona State University colors, maroon and gold.

We are having a wonderful time.

The bridge across the Niagara River.

This must be a Canadian Goose because he's on the Canadian side of the river.

Looking downstream from Horseshoe Falls to American Falls.

May 29, 2019 Wednesday Victor to Albion, NY

I've been looking forward to riding the banks of the Erie Canal.  After a few miles that asphalt ended and I was on a muddy road due to construction along the bank.

Another view of the canal.

What started out as a very nice paved bike path turned into a single track trail. They sent me  to the emergency  room at a hospital in Medina, about 10 miles away.  They said nothing appears to be broken, but I sure have a hard time getting a good nights sleep.  And there's nothing pleasant about coughing or sneezing.
One of the several locks on the canal.

This is the nice paved part of the canal trailway.

Another view of trailway and canal.

Crews working on the trailway.

The trailway is starting to narrow.  This is about a mile before my crash landing.
The big goose hissed at me as I slowly passed his family.
The mud only got worse until I finally wised up and found my own detour to a paved highway.

This is the backyard of some residents which extends up to the canal bank.

May 22, 2019 Wednesday Bath, ME to Conway, NH

Ready to start riding

Cheery face and raring to go.
Much water here.

Another big lake.

Back roads usually don't have a bike lane.  But they do have a lot less traffic.

Another nice looking farm.

Some farms are in bad need of repairs.

May 28, 2019 Tuesday Fulton to Victor, NY

Cold, rain and wind does not fit my style of riding.  So in my humble opinion weather conditions today are not conducive for a enjoyable bike riding experience.  I choose to drive to Victor, NY and visit my nephew, Trent Sutton and his wife Elizabeth.
We stopped in Palmyra to see some historical sites of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints

The Palmyra Temple

Home of Joseph Smith, first prophet of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Field just south of the Smith home.

Home of Trent and Elizabeth Sutton in Victor, NY.  Trent is an attorney in international law and is being transferred this coming fall to Singapore for five years.  They are excited about that.

May 27, 2019 Monday Rome to Fulton, NY

Lake Oneida.  Water, water everywhere.

Start of today's ride.  Out of the city and on the correct highway.  Nice wide bicycle lane.  Revis follows along behind me.  My license plate is LO2W for Larry on 2 wheels.

We stopped for a snack at a store and a lady wanted to take our picture but couldn't find her phone.   I suggested she take it with my phone and then send it to hers.  She wanted to post it on facebook

In my humble opinion weather conditions were conducive for a perfectly enjoyable riding experience  and I rode for 50 enjoyable miles today

Beautiful golf course alongside the highway in Monroe, NY.

May 26, 2019 Sunday Church in Rome, NY

Attended church services at the Rome Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. They had a pot-luck dinner after services ended at noon.  Met a member of the ward who lived in New Mexico years go and knew some of Revis' relatives.

May 25, 2019 Saturday Shoreham, VT to Rome, NY

Driving to the bridge over Lake Champlain from the Ferry that was not yet open.

Typical looking farm in western Vermont

Orchard in bloom

Entering New York State after crossing Lake Champlain.  After crossing Lake Champlain it started raining and in my humble opinion the weather conditions were not conducive for a enjoyable riding experience. So we drove on to Rome, NY.

The Bed and Breakfast Inn in Shoreham, Vt

Nest of a hawk or an eagle.
