July 11, 2013 Thursday, Day 30 riding, Day 41 of trip.
Fairly easy riding today. Mostly downhill since Lizard Head Pass.
Big Surprise!!! No motels in Shiprock. Nearest motel is 29 miles east in Farmington.
Stopped at the Navajo Chapter House in Shiprock and asked if I could sleep on their picnic table out back under a tree. He let me sleep in a mobile home on the property for $40. No bed. Curled up in my sleeping bag in a recliner chair.
