July 8, 2013 Monday, Day 27 riding, Day 38 of trip.
Met Andi from Switzerland.
Conquered Dallas Divide today at 5:20 pm. Last 5 miles to top of divide was walking and pushing the bike. 6% to 10% grades.
Stopped at the Anglers Inn just past Placerville. Met Tom Carpenter from Michigan. He is also riding from San Francisco to Virginia. That route takes the biker from Carson City, Nevada to Cedar City, Utah with climbs over mountains of 6500 ft. I'm glad I chose this route.
